Windsor’s interdisciplinary team leads the way in comprehensive wound care, treating acute and chronic wounds with advanced technologies and compassionate patient-centered care.
The resident’s physician, along with Windsor’s in-house medical director, certified wound care and infection control nurses, physical and occupational therapists, and registered dietitians, work together to deliver outcome-oriented wound care. When the need arises, physicians in plastic and general surgery, dermatology, podiatry, vascular and infectious diseases are also available to provide consultation and support.
At Windsor, knowledge, experience and technology lead to faster healing. Among the many wound care tools Windsor’s clinicians utilize are intravenous antibiotics, specialized support surfaces, pain management, vacuum assisted negative pressure wound closure therapy, and electrical stimulation. Moreover, Windsor treats the patient as well as the wound, augmenting state-of-the-art technology with physical and occupational therapy, recreation programs, and proper nutrition.
