WINDSOR GARDENS CARE CENTER OF HAYWARD AWARDED AHCA/NCAL 2020 SILVER NATIONAL QUALITY AWARD

September 2, 2020 – Hayward, CA – Windsor Gardens Care Center of Hayward, a skilled nursing and rehabilitation center located in Hayward, California, announced today they have earned the 2019 Silver – Achievement in Quality Award by the American Health Care Association and National Center for Assisted Living (AHCA/NCAL).

The Silver Quality Award is the second highest distinction possible through the AHCA/NCAL National Quality Award Program. The program was created to recognize long-term care and post-acute providers across the nation that have demonstrated a commitment to providing and improving the quality of care for their residents.

Based on the core values and criteria of the Baldrige Performance Excellence Program, the AHCA/NCAL National Quality Award Program challenges member providers to achieve performance excellence through three progressive levels—Bronze, Silver, and Gold. The Silver level, which is awarded to only the top .5% performers, represents members that develop and demonstrate effective approaches that help improve performance and health care outcomes.

“These unprecedented times brought out the best of us, especially our frontline workers who bravely stepped into their workplace to care for those in need,” says Julie Mammad, the administrator at Windsor Gardens of Hayward. “It is a great honor to be recognized with the AHCA/NCAL 2020 Silver National Quality Award. Our staff earned this recognition through their commitment to improving the quality of life of each person in their care.”

As recipients of this year’s award, Windsor Gardens Care Center of Hayward can now advance in developing approaches that meet the criteria required for the Gold – Excellence in Quality Award.
