September 14, 2020 – Los Angeles, CA –Eight Windsor skilled nursing, assisted living and rehabilitation centers throughout California announced that they have received the 2020 Bronze – Achievement in Quality Award by the American Health Care Association and National Center for Assisted Living (AHCA/NCAL).
Implemented in 1996, the National Quality Award Program was created to recognize long-term care and post-acute providers across the nation that have demonstrated a commitment to providing and improving the quality of care for their residents.
The eight Windsor facilities that received the award are:
Windsor Court Assisted Living
Windsor El Camino Care Center
Windsor Care Center of Fullerton
Windsor Hampton Care Center
Windsor Gardens Convalescent Hospital of Los Angeles
Windsor Care Center of Petaluma
Windsor Rosewood Care Center
Windsor Gardens Healthcare of the Valley
“I am extremely proud of all the staff members at our Bronze Award-winning care centers,” says Abdoulaye ‘Laye’ Niang, Windsor’s Director of Operations, Southern Region. “Windsor’s mission is to treat each resident as they would their own family, with love, care and respect – and it shows! It is my honor to be associated with these amazing people. Each Windsor care center’s Bronze award is well-deserved.”
The award program has three levels: Bronze, Silver, and Gold. Providers begin the quality improvement process at the Bronze level, where they develop an organizational profile with fundamental performance elements such as vision and mission statements and key strengths and challenges. Bronze applicants must also demonstrate their ability to implement a performance improvement system.
As recipients of this year’s Bronze award, each facility can now advance to meet the criteria required for the Silver – Achievement in Quality Award.
