Windsor is a provider of long-term healthcare and rehabilitation services since 1984. Windsor has 33 skilled nursing and rehabilitation centers and one assisted living facility located throughout the state of California, with over 4,050 licensed beds. Approximately 4,600 Windsor employees provide nursing care and therapeutic service. National lifestyle trends favor the growth of sophisticated skilled nursing facilities like those Windsor operates. In fact, people over 65 years of age represent the fastest growing population demographic in the country. Given advances in medical technology and greater awareness of the importance of physical fitness, this population’s life expectancy has generally increased. In turn, this provides for an increased need for long-term care outside the acute care hospital. Windsor is very well prepared to meet California’s rising needs.
Windsor is founded on a fundamental guiding principle: Your loved one is somebody special who deserves the very best and who will be treated with the utmost respect and dignity.

Quality Standards
Healthcare is one of the most highly regulated industries in the country. A multitude of regulatory programs enacted by the federal government and State of California are designed to protect patients in all types of healthcare settings, including skilled nursing.
Windsor considers compliance with these various laws as their minimum standards of conduct. Each Windsor facility is committed to delivering care to its patients that upholds all state and federal regulations. Windsor facilities judge themselves by continuously monitoring the quality of their care and their standards of ethical responsibility. Quality care, dedication to patient satisfaction, and attention to safety have always been Windsor’s hallmarks.
Presuming that customer satisfaction and quality care go hand-in-hand, Windsor is proud to report that its 2009 Customer Satisfaction Survey revealed that 80% of all residents and their families said they would recommend Windsor to others who are in need of skilled nursing and rehabilitation.
Payment Options
Windsor’s highest priority is quality patient care and dedication to patient satisfaction. Each Windsor facility can assist you with information about the billing process and financial resources that are available to you. For convenience, we are contracted with most health insurance companies. We accept payment from government programs such as Medicare, Medicaid/Medi-cal, and in some of our locations the Veterans Administration. In addition to accepting cash or personal checks, residents paying privately for skilled nursing care are welcome to charge services on most major credit cards.
Windsor’s specialists are well versed in these payment options and will be pleased to guide you through payment programs available to you or your loved one.
